Wow, 2019 has been quite a year for us all here at Integrity Martial Arts. We’ve had our usual four coloured belt grading’s, which are getting busier and increasing the standards all the time, if someone can add a few more hours to the normal 24 that would be great….. Two black belt grading’s also, with some amazing results, we’re already preparing for a possible 25 members to grade to Black belt and higher in May 2020.

We’ve had regular tournaments for all our competitive Taekwon-Do and Kickboxing members, some new to the tournament scene and some more experienced, each member has really enjoyed their experience and I’m sure we’ll have some more in 2020.

Two of our Kickboxing members Amanda Moles and Dominic Turner took the next step up to perform in their first higher contact shows, both coming away with fantastic results, and both hungry for more. Plenty of opportunities for all to step up in 2020.

Our classes are always physically challenging, but great fun too and one of the highlights was our trip to the beautiful island of Jersey to train with our good friends at Samurai Kickboxing. The trip was only three days, but the memories will last a lifetime. Next year we intend to do the same, so speak to some of the members that went to find out how special it was, and join us.

We finished the year with our annual awards presentation in Weymouth with the following winners:

  • BEST TAEKWON-DO NEWCOMER – EMMA WATLING
  • BEST KICKBOXING NEWCOMER – CAROLINA NUNES
  • BEST COMPETITOR – AMANDA MOLES
  • BEST TAEKWON-DO STUDENT – CATHERINE WALL
  • BEST KICKBOXING STUDENT – SAM NOURSE
  • BEST INSTRUCTOR – TORI FARRAN
  • HEART AND SOUL AWARD – ANGIE WHITE/RYAN STYLES
  • OUTSTANDING CONTRIBUTION TO INTEGRITY – HEATHER BRYANT

On behalf of everyone here at Integrity Martial Arts we wish you all an amazing 2020, stay safe and we’ll see you from January 2nd onwards for more sweat, hard work and fun.
